5G-VICTORI: Energy metering for HV

Home » 5G-VICTORI: Energy metering for HV

The UC addresses the deployments of a variety of vertical-specific services over the same private 5G network. The facility interconnects two sites, and data from various legacy sources are combined through the 5G network for Preventive maintenance and Monitoring of critical infrastructures:

  • Real-time monitoring of HV power cable. Measurements of active power (MW), reactive power (MVar) and current (A) from the primary and secondary windings of the transformer at each site are collected and compared in real-time.
  • Sensor data collection. This service consists of collecting a large number of measurements originating from different types of sensors to monitor the health of the actual HV power cable and create a rich dashboard.
  • Facility CCTV/robot monitoring. Surveillance with a 5 G-enabled robot that can reach out to high-voltage areas in the facility. 5 G-enabled robots and CCTV cameras can transmit high-quality video streams outside the facility, where intrusion detection algorithms run.
