BlueSpace: Co-existance with PONs

Home » BlueSpace: Co-existance with PONs

This blueSPACE proof of concept defines the options and related requirements for a shared infrastructure between fixed PON and wireless access networks. Technology solutions are based both on the use of spatially and spectrally isolated architectures and extend to the control plane issues in order to handle each type of infrastructure through slicing.

In terms of 5G functionalities, blueSPACE investigates:

  • Fixed wireless integration at physical layer.
  • Network slicing.
  • Multi-vendor support.

Partners involved: COSMOTE, OrangePL, AIT, UPV, CTTC, NEXTWORKS
