This is an extensive use case with a demonstration and trial at two different locations, Greece using the 5G-EVE infrastructure and Norway using the 5G-VINNI infrastructure, validating 5G technologies for Aquaculture. Specifically, two different software platforms are going to be used through a series of test cases including operations that require all mMTC, eMBB and URLLC services.
The site architecture for each test is designed specifically to cover the needs of the corresponding use cases and includes both site-specific equipment (water quality sensors, underwater/security cameras, underwater drone, edge computing nodes) and network equipment (5G gateway, base station, KPI probes etc.). The tests exploit the available equipment to transfer sensory and video data collected from the aquaculture site in real-time while also validating the support for computation at the edge and real-time device operations. e.g. with a remotely operated drone.
