5GRAIL: Remote vision (as part of remote control of engines)
Remote vision provides live video streaming out of a frontal camera installed on the moving stock. Video flows go through the onboard video management system (VMS) to the trackside VMS. The remote vision application provides information about the environment in front of the moving stock and is very important in railway operation, for movements, for example, in depots.
Validation of MC (Mission critical) and FRMCS features
- Same MC features as for ATP (Automatic Train Protection), equivalent to ETCS application use case
- MCData was used instead of MCVideo for this application
