Overview of the 5GROWTH use case on Non-safety Critical Communications for transportation
The use case involves 5G communications to support two specific needs for Level Crossings: (i) HD video image transmission from LX surveillance camera to the approaching trains’ on-board tablets and/or maintenance agents’ hand-held tablets, and (ii) Level crossing LX controller status and alarm events transmission to maintenance agents’ tablets. This use case comprises two slices, one for eMBB and the other one for URLLC where the availability of the slices is the main constrain.
