Hexa-X: Flexible topologies (FLEX-TOP) for efficient network expansion

Home » Hexa-X: Flexible topologies (FLEX-TOP) for efficient network expansion

The demo will deliver insights into the efficiency of the flexible topologies concept. The key benefits will be coverage extensions, service provision with lower latencies (since the local structure is terminated at the infrastructure edge), security (engagement of selected devices), and lower energy consumption (at infrastructure. There will be leverage on mesh/adhoc/D2D networking, disaggregated devices with the ability to flexibly allocate functionality (management of computing resources), ultra-high spectrum, and on coordination with the infrastructure, e.g., in terms of resources to use. Architecture aspects and data flow issues will also be studied and validated.
